Since joining the Academy, my son's stamina and swimming styles have improved so much. All the coaches that we have so far, have been very helpful. They listen and react to whatever issue we brought up to them (eg. District and division are coming, please give some feedback and tips to improve his diving or the speed/stroke of freestyle, etc). The consistency and flexibility of the Academy are the winner for us over other squads. Flexibility to choose over 3 pools are the bonus as we have a hectic schedule. Consistency in the coaching, the coaches know the strengths and weaknesses of my son's swimming and working onto them. The size of the classes varies for each training, so we try to avoid days which have bigger classes.
My son is really enjoying doing squad at CMSP after a difficult experience at another club. We’ve already noticed real progress in just a few weeks. Shout out to Coach Sam for taking the time to explain the ‘why’ behind their training.
Do Not Recommend! There was one lesson in January and I was charged $143 RIP OFF! The enrolment fee $100, $40 for one lesson, and surcharge! Cancellation fee is $122 and there is a 1 month notice! The teachers also have no skills, 500m free for warmup is outrageous! For some students they have been doing squad for years, but others just moved up from swim school, there are no levels in the squad so how would they identify the students’ abilities?
