If you are expecting learning by ear or a spoon-feeding approach, Linh may not be the right fit. Her teaching focuses on sight-reading and technique, helping students become independent musicians by building skills step by step rather than learning pieces one at a time. You can discuss balancing her program with your own repertoire, but her approach prioritises long-term learning over quick results or just mastering one or two pieces.

Linh offers lessons at two studio locations, one in Magill and another in Prospect. While I personally prefer the Magill studio for its professional upright piano, I chose Prospect as it’s closer to home. The Prospect studio is cozy and equipped with an electric keyboard, providing a comfortable learning environment. My daughter has been learning with Linh for nearly three months and is already preparing for her AMEB Grade 3 exam. Linh is a disciplined and focused teacher, but her approach resonates well with children. They clearly understand their tasks and what is expected of them. Linh meticulously tracks her students' progress and implements detailed strategies tailored to their needs. After trying several teachers, I am happiest with Linh. Her expertise and commitment have made a noticeable difference in my daughter's musical journey.

My son learned piano with a different teacher for two years, but unfortunately he developed many incorrect techniques and wasn’t able to read sheet music — he could only copy by watching YouTube videos. After just two terms with Linh at Adelaide Piano Academy, we have seen a huge improvement. Linh has helped him rebuild proper technique and learn to read music confidently. Although it felt a little slower at first as he corrected old habits, his progress has actually become much faster and more meaningful. We are so grateful to have found the right teacher.
