My child started learning violin with Ning Wu at the age of six. As the principal of Allegro Music School, Ning is highly professional, patient, and incredibly effective in teaching young children. She knows how to encourage and motivate students, helping them develop a genuine passion for music while also maintaining high standards. Under her guidance, children improve not only their violin technique, but also their overall musicality and confidence. Allegro organizes concerts every six months, giving parents the opportunity to see their children’s continuous progress and growing confidence on stage. The school also offers ensemble classes, street performances, and other enriching activities that allow students to experience music in different and exciting ways. My child is a complete beginner and has been attending violin lessons with Calvin. He is a disciplined and honest teacher who gives clear and direct feedback, which we find very helpful for building a strong foundation. Calvin has a very solid understanding of violin technique and is always able to quickly identify what needs improvement and explain how to fix it. Even for beginners, he knows exactly where the focus should be. He is patient during lessons and consistently emphasises the fundamentals that really matter. The school is at a great location, too. Ample parking and easy access.
