5.0I do the Zumba and strong seniors classes and they are fabulous. The people in these classes and the instructors are friendly and very competent. They help with proper form for the exercises and keep us from injury. My physio hasn’t had any business from me in the two years or so I have been coming. The procedures are good and the whole operation is excellent.
5.0I train at the gym upstairs and honestly it has the best vibe. The layout is excellent, the space is always clean and there’s a real sense of community which I love. The staff are super friendly from the moment you walk in at the door to when you leave. Not only are they supportive, encouraging, their communication is clear and concise and you're never left in the dark about anything gym/equipment related. It’s a welcoming, ego-free establishment with members from all age groups which was the main contributing factor of why I joined last year. It's more than just a gym that makes showing up easy for me, it's my happy place and I truly look forward to my time there. Thank you to all the staff and members for creating such a special place in my world.
4.0We normally swim within the City of Sydney, as this was a change to the Inner West. Our experience at the AKAC was positive. Easy and free to park outside - we were here on a hot Sunday lunch/afternoon. Staff at reception were friendly, took the time to explain the pool and layout. Pools were clean and kids pools had very warm water, but perfect for kids being in the water for a long time. Cafe was open (CoS cafes currently closed). Good and drinks were reasonably priced and good. The price was possibly a bit steep, so for a family to regularly attend you need a membership.
1.0During my recent visit to the centre, I found Michelle’s attitude toward customers to be extremely disappointing. Her manner was abrupt, dismissive, and lacking basic courtesy. Rather than attempting to assist or understand the situation, she appeared uninterested in helping and showed little empathy toward customers. As a regular user of the facility, I believe customer service should be respectful, professional, and supportive. Unfortunately, my interaction with Michelle was the opposite. Her approach came across as very cold and heartless, which made the experience at the centre quite unpleasant.
1.0The centre looks lovely, it’s a shame about the manager of the cafe who looks down on poor people even though we still bought coffee from him, coffee was pretty bad too. I asked to charge my phone after buying two coffees, the manager started saying about how I can’t afford to pay my electricity bill. Once I got my phones back I advised the manager not to look down on customers for their financial situation. This guy then started telling me how I should get out the country because im a backpacker who’s parked by a park… Genuinely the worst customer service ever, wouldn’t give any money to the bloke that runs the place. If any Australians go in there too, you’ll have a laugh as this bloke thinks he owns the country
