I absolutely LOVE Aqualink Box Hill. I swim in the outdoor pool all year round both with and without my adult swimming club. The facilities are amazing and also allows access for those with both visually obvious and hidden disabilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you so very much!!!

Overall this is a great place to swim and there's good facilities. They have a main pool indoor & out, a rehabilitation pool and spa + sauna. There's a kids play area or two as well and diving boards. What are they missing? Showers & sinks. For example the woman's changing room has ONE shower. Can you imagine? The designer has clearly never interacted with women. There's also one sink. And ONE tiny mirror. Subsequently it is impossible to use the sink without someone behind you glaring at you to hurry up. The fact that there's only one mirror means that if you need to dry your hair - good luck. The alternative bathrooms are the unisex bathroom which has one sink & no shower. Otherwise there's the disabled bathrooms, which are obviously just for the disabled and elderly people. So I end up using the exterior or public shower near the rehab pool and just rinse under my bathers as best I can. Then go and hide in the unisex bathroom where at least I can use the sink without drama.

Overall, this is a decent swimming pool and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are generally well maintained, and in general it’s a pleasant place to swim. However, I’m giving a 3/5 rating mainly because of an ongoing issue with a regular diving booking on Saturday afternoons. This booking occupies a very important facility in the pool and significantly limits access for other customers during a popular time. Many regular customers have raised this concern with the manager, but it does not appear that the issue has been addressed so far. What’s more concerning is that the person who regularly books this facility seems to frequently have conflicts with other customers. From what I can observe, the staff often appear to give this person preferential treatment, which creates a perception of unfairness for other swimmers. Another suggestion is about the lockers. It would be great if lockers could be freely accessible to all customers, as is the case at other swimming pools such as Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre. This would make the overall experience more convenient for visitors. I hope the management can review these issues and find a better balance so that the facilities are shared fairly and the environment remains welcoming for everyone.

What happened to the café? I understand they’ve changed management, but what about the service? The taste? The quality? The variety on the menu? Just a bunch of tasteless pastries. The almond croissant used to taste delicious; the one now tastes terrible. The coffee is ridiculously expensive, and when you stand in front of the display case, nothing looks appealing. Before, you could sense a little care even in the food. What a terrible change.
