Aquatots Swim School, Googong

Aquatots Googong has been an excellent experience for our family. The instructors, particularly those working with the younger age groups, deserve specific recognition. They demonstrate patience, warmth and genuine professionalism in every lesson. Teaching toddlers and preschoolers requires a very particular skill set — balancing structure, encouragement and calm authority — and the team handles this exceptionally well. What stands out most is how confidently they engage with young children who may be hesitant or nervous. The instructors create a safe, supportive environment while still maintaining clear expectations and progression. It’s evident they understand early childhood development, not just swimming technique. The lessons are well structured, and the focus on water confidence alongside foundational skills is reassuring as a parent. The overall atmosphere is positive and organised, which makes attending weekly lessons straightforward and enjoyable. For families with young children, the quality of instruction at Aquatots Googong provides real peace of mind.

We have been swimming with aquatots for 5 years now! With 2 in lessons since babies and one about to commence we can’t recommend the swim school enough. Our eldest was always scared of water whilst our middle was the complete opposite and fearless. With both children the swim school has taken the time to select the right teacher for our children’s need and adapted in the water to their skills and weaknesses. Aqua tots has enable both our almost 3 and 5 year old to confidently swim 5-10 meters independently which as a parent makes me much more confident around water with my children. Further to the children’s classes, the complementary water aerobics, adult swim classes , progression programs, free swim sessions and cpr programs are a great added bonuses included within our children’s term fees! I have two young kids in Aquatots Googong and they both have loved the supportive and encouraging environment at Aquatots. My kids have excelled since starting lessons with Leesa. Her kind nature and positive reinforcement has given my kids the encouragement and confidence to challenge themselves and thrive in the water. I have also watched Leesa teach penguin classes for children with Special Needs creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Her patience, understanding and and thoughtful approach makes sure every child feels seen, valued and successful.

Over the years, I've explored several swim schools with my daughters, but none have matched the experience at Aquatots. Their genuine dedication to helping kids learn to swim is truly remarkable. Unlike other swim schools where you feel like just another number in a class of up to 20 kids, Aquatots focuses on more than just profit. They incorporate toys into their lessons, making swimming enjoyable and engaging for the children. When my eldest daughter was hesitant to put her head under water, the pool manager personally stepped in to help, and by that afternoon, she was confidently dipping her head in. The staff is fantastic and incredibly patient with the kids. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Plus, I appreciate that parents receive free lessons too. It's a brilliant business model. Both my boys come to this swim center and the vibe and lay out of the centre is fantastic. While the classes are a little focused on fun for my liking the staff are great and really focused on making the kids comfortable to get the most out of the sessions. We particularly like Zac for the older class for our 7yr old and Leo for the younger classes for our 4yr old.
