What parents say
5.0We have really enjoyed our online lessons with Louise. My daughter (Grade 4) loves the sessions and has come a long way in her drawing and also understanding architectural concepts. I really like that she is able to explore her creativity and at the same time see how engineering and mathematical concepts can intersect with design and communicating ideas. It is also really convenient to do the sessions from home and Louise is a very engaging teacher who offers one on one feedback throughout the classes.
5.0My 10 year old daughter has been participating in Louise's online classes for over a year. These classes were a fortuitous discovery when searching out interesting activities for my daughter that were covered by the Creative Kids voucher. Louise is a fantastic teacher. I honestly don't know how she manages to work with a bunch of kids over Zoom, but somehow she does. She's patient and kind, enthusiastic and energetic, generous with her time and always willing to share her expertise with the kids (and parents) who join in her sessions. The topics she covers are really interesting and fun. I actually wish I could sit in on more sessions. She encourages the kids to work with a variety of media - drawings, models of clay, paper and cardboard and computer aided design programs suitable for children. My daughter has definitely grown in confidence since working with Louise and really enjoys her sessions. I highly recommend these classes for any child over the age of 6 who wants to explore their creative side in a supportive environment and who wants to learn more about both art and science.
5.0We love our architecture classes with Louise! My son looks forward to each Saturday morning, he's always filled with excitement and anticipation. Classes are structured and designed very well, the information that's given during the class is very interesting not only for kids, but also adults! I learned a new word recently - fractals, and that you see them in nature! Louise is very patient and encouraging and engaging during the class. It's never boring. I can see that my son's confidence in building and sharing ideas grows every week. I would highly recommend Architecture For Kids school for any child, who is creative and likes building structures out of Lego or other blocks, or likes to draw - it really gives them another perspective and they learn a lot about scale and various architectural terms. Also you can start at any age- my son is only 6 and his classmates are older. Louise can find approach to any child!
5.0Awesome online classes for kids from 6 years on wards. My kids have learnt so much from just a few terms, thinking logically and understanding many design and architectural concepts. Their persistence, spatial awareness, construction & sketching skills have improved greatly and Louise is an excellent and patient teacher. She is fun, encouraging and very knowledgeable. The materials used in class are simple and affordable, the clean up is minimal after class and the class flies by very quickly for the kids. Highly recommended!
4.0I am so pleased to have our children associated with Louise’s amazing programs and activities. Louise has developed a fantastic approach attracting the attention and interest of our two boys. Her concept of providing Architectural insights to youngsters has proven itself to be successful, we have witnessed the overwhelming interest from our boys as a result in watching, observing and expressing various designs when looking at structures, shapes and colours around them. Louis’s program has been an overwhelming success. Exposing children to educational programs traditionally provided to adults has been an eye opener and inspirational.
