ATI Martial Arts

I came to Perth in 1997 to train alongside the Directors of ATI Malaga due to the accomplishment's & professionalism of Master Curtis & Master Lockyer. I was then offered a sponsorship to return in 2004 to then work alongside many experienced coaches. This Gym in my opinion is one of, if not the best TKD / Martial Arts facilities in WA if not Australia. They have produced many champions, helped students of all levels achieve their goals & the overall running of the classes are second to none. In this day & age it's very rare to find a Martial art school with leaders who are former World champions, high level coaches & have built their schools with integrity from the ground up. As a professional Instructor now living in the UK with over 250 students of my own, I am proud have trained & coached under their knowledge & leadership. If I was a Parent looking to enrol their child or an Adult looking to join a trust worthy gym & successful school, I wouldn't hesitate. In my opinion World class ! Both of my sons have trained at ATI and were awarded their black belts with them. The quality of the instructors and the program’s provided are excellent and tailored for everyone from the youngest of children through to seniors and special needs. I would never have any hesitation in recommending ATI to anyone wanting to go down the martial arts pathway. Congrats ATI thank you for teaching our children the right life lessons that will stay with them forever.

ATI Malaga is the place to be. When the first step on this place I was amazed they had all the equipment that you need . The staff are nice and caring. Mr Curtis and Mr Lockyer are really amazing instructors. Mr Curtis is rooted to details and traditions of taekwondo which I really love because it’s important to keep them. While Mr Lockyer has really good adaptable modern sparring tips. They complement each other. Also the efforts they put into ATI is very fruitful and evident. You will see it with the other instructors on how they teach and treat the students.

I have been training in martial arts for the last 20 years. My children have trained as well-all achieving black belt at various stages. The only reason I continue to train and recommend ATI is the quality of its instructors, their dedication to the family unit and our community plus their passion for helping to shape wonderful, confident young adults. Well done ATI, your passion and dedication are an amazing achievement and I will continue to share your content and recommend your martial arts academies. Kudos!

My experience at this place has been mixed. While the instructors are skilled and clearly care about teaching, I personally found the overall environment not very welcoming. At times, I felt pressured into options or decisions I was not fully comfortable with, and the focus seemed more on payments rather than understanding individual needs. Communication could be clearer and more supportive. The main reason I continue attending is because the instructors themselves are good at what they do and genuinely connect with the students.
