Black Dragon Taekwondo

We’ve had a really great experience with Black Dragon Taekwondo and have been going since my son was 5. Neal and all the instructors are so kind, patient, and encouraging, especially with the younger kids. They strike a great balance between being supportive and teaching discipline, respect, and confidence. My son loves it. The classes are well run and engaging, and it’s a really positive environment for kids to learn and grow. Highly recommend - especially for young kids!

As someone approaching 40 who had always wanted to learn a martial art, starting Taekwondo felt like a big step - and honestly, it could have been intimidating. But from day one, Black Dragon felt like the right place. Master Neil, Ebony, his kids, and his team of instructors have created such a welcoming and respectful culture. It’s supportive, encouraging, and truly inclusive - no matter your age, fitness level or experience. I’ve just earned my first yellow belt and couldn’t be more excited to keep grading and working hard! If you’ve ever thought about giving Taekwondo a go, this is exactly the kind of place you want to start. I’m so grateful to be part of it.

Fantastic club, welcoming, caring, supportive and compassionate. Master Neal is so passionate and dedicated to the kids and taekwondo! It has a real community/ family feel and culture, we are very lucky to have found it and it has done absolute wonders for my son.

The best martial arts and taekwondo studio in Port Melbourne and surrounding area. Neil and all the team are amazing, enthusiastic and fun! Clean and modern environment with top level training. Great for kids off all ages and family oriented. Check them out!

Was great, the instructor (Master Neal) was awesome with the kids. Very inclusive yet seemed quite focussed on respect and maintaining self control. I thought it was awesome. It looks like there are new classes on Saturday which is great. Highly recommend checking it out if your kids are into martial arts. A bunch of new trainers and still a fantastic environment for kids getting into Taekwondo. We have been with them from junior white to junior black belt and will keep coming back.
