Boyd Dance Academy

Our two daughters have been dancing at the Boyd Academy for more than 6 years. They have participated in many styles; classical ballet, jazz, contemporary and tap. Boyd offers students a technically strong program, together will a big dose of love and laughter, creating a very supportive environment. The annual concert is incredibly professional and students are not required to pay a fortune for costumes (a small costume fee is added to class fees in terms 3 and 4). The teaching staff are brilliant and Tracey Boyd herself takes the time to know all of her dances individually. Our daughters have enjoyed every single minute at Boyd. They have made lifelong friends and grown into very talented dancers. Many of the dancers at Boyd have been dancing at Boyd for multiple years (some most of their lives!), which really does say it all. One of the best dance schools in Melbourne - without a doubt!

My daughter started dancing at Boyd the year she turned three. Nine years later, she still loves dancing and her classes are the highlight of her week. The fun, fitness and friendships my daughter has experienced & developed over the years have been priceless. Great studio and fantastic teachers with a passion for dance. Highly recommended.

My 2 children have been dancing for more than 10 years at Boyd. I could not have found a better dance school for them. Tracey and her teachers have instilled a love and passion for dance, as well as a good work ethic in the years that my children have been at the school. With the foundation that Tracey has built in my son, he is now hoping to pursue dance as a profession - and I believe that the care and enthusiasm that Tracey brings to the kids have really pushed them to be the best that they can be, not by being a robotic precision machines, but as dancers full of emotion, expressions and love for the art.

The culture that Tracey has created shines through in the beautiful friendships that have been made and the pure love of dance that she instills in all of her students. Boyd has become my daughter's home away from home. Not only has Tracey and her team taught Abbey the basic dance skills, they have fostered her love of dance and provided opportunities for her to experience dance in many forms from the end of year concert to competitions to ballet workshops and have helped her to develop resilience and perseverance. The studio is a place of warmth, acceptance and encouragement. We can't thank Tracey, Camille and the team enough for the role they have played in helping our daughter to develop into the lovely young woman she is today.
