I started the Brain O’ Brain course in Year 2. I was given an abacus. It started small, with adding and subtracting a few two-digit numbers. As time went on, the course grew increasingly difficult, but I pushed through. At the graduation, I held my head high and smiled. Two years later, I took the SEHS test in Victoria for Year 9. I passed mainly thanks to my outstanding math scores, achieving superior results in both quantitative and mathematics. When I got the acceptance letter, I felt so glad for pushing through the challenges Brain O’ Brain provided. The abacus sparked my never-ending curiosity for math, which became my entire foundation.
