Brisbane Arts Theatre

Wonderful venue. Seems like it's been there forever. Reasonable prices at the bar. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Lovely theatre and a wonderful performance! We loved that the cast were able to use the whole space of the theatre; aisle, spare seats, using the audience as props/part of the story. The performance was of high quality, from the cast to the props, and it was absolutely wonderful for the children to meet the cast afterwards and get their "autographs". There's a great seating area outside, next to the shop which serves snacks and drinks. We are keeping our eyes peeled for the next performance we can attend!

I was delighted to stumble upon this charming local theatre. We attended their recent production of 'Frankenstein,' and it was delightful! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was lovely, and I was especially grateful when a staff member adjusted the air conditioning to make it warmer upon request since it was quite chilly in the theatre. I will definitely be returning!

Brisbane Arts Theatre, is a small and cute venue localised at Petrie Terrace, is the Brisbane’s oldest surviving community theatre (from 1936). It plays adapted literature both classic and contemporary. Outside seating area and bar is available at the courtyard. Parking may be found in front or within the narrow the streets of Petrie Terrace behind.

Went to see a Clockwork Orange, service was nice and the theater itself has is boutique feel. Bar drinks were great and I loved the wine in sealed cups. One of the ladies behind me mentioned that it is the oldest operating theatre in Brisbane, which I thought was nice to know (not sure how correct it is). They have a number of ticket choices/subscription options available, if you love the theater then package deals work out to be cheaper.
