Byte-Buderim Youth Theatre of Excellence

That’s the third show I’ve seen the BYTES Studio B cast perform and they are of the highest standard I’ve ever seen in amateur theatre, forget that they are all teens, there are adult theatre companies and no small number of professional companies that would be delighted to produce shows of this quality. Absolutely AMAZING. So much talent and so will guided and directed.

My name is Michelle Brown and I would like to offer my sincere compliments on the superb performance of “Come From Away” which I saw on Saturday, the 29th of November 2025. What a remarkable show , one of the best I’ve ever seen on a stage: the performers had outstanding voices and the accents were remarkable blending the Irish Canadian inflections with surprising accuracy and other accents done with exceptional conviction. The show was fast paced with a tremendous amount of dialogue and songs performed with a live band. It was so very moving to see the story of 9/11 played out as seen by one Canadian town and was absolutely unforgettable. Congratulations on a fine performance!

Robyn, PLEASE put another show on so I can bring everyone I know! When the characters sang their end song about their sadness for leaving Gander, I too teared up because I didn’t want the play to end! I work with the mother of one of the actors. This lady comes to all of her child’s plays, as I too attend all of my daughter’s gymnastics competitions. When she communicated her excitement about Come From Away, I knew I had to be there. I cannot yet say that about my daughter’s gymnastics competitions. 🤣 I did not look at my watch once. I was enthralled in the momentum, the harmony of the voices of senior school students, the dancing choreography where not a single person stumbled on a small stage, the in-depth emotion from the key characters. And as I met the cast post production, in their everyday clothes, realising they are literally school aged young adults, I told them that a professional adult cast could not have invoked more emotion than they did during the performance I witnessed. It’s been two days and I’m still on the biggest high from my experience of Come From Away at Buderim Memorial Hall on the Sunshine Coast. 10/10 xxoo

Superb acting and singing in Come From Away. An emotional and entertaining show by a group of very talented young actors. My daughter said she even enjoyed it more than she did the Broadway cast! Total professionals both on stage and backstage! Well done BYTES!
