Canberra Kyokushin - Ainslie Karate School
Reviews
Sensei Jeff was an excellent instructor whom I trained under for 7 years from the ages of 9 until 16. Excellent with students of all ages and has had several of them win in state and national competitions. For those serious about kyokushin and tournament fighting, I would 100% recommend training at this Dojo. It is also great for those interested in karate in general. OSU!
Jeff is amazing sensei and role model. He has a great team assisting with the running of the dojo. Both my kids have attended Canberra Kyokushin and have become more self motivated and disciplined in their training. Highly recommended
Amazing place! I used to learn and train karate here back in 2016 with my friend Chris, who was a yellow belt, we also went to the same school back then. I also remember going to Summer school or summer karate lessons (I think) and we had to go to the equipment area to find a squeaky toy/thing, it was quite fun! Unfortunately I have lost contact with Chris, I don't know how or what he's doing now, hopefully with this review I can contact him and continue being friends with him. Sensei Jeff is also an amazing teacher, guide me through the first belt through orange belt. If I can come back here again, I would definitely come back💯‼️
It's a very nice and friendly Karate School. My kid joined a year ago and he loves it. I hope my daughter will follow soon. The atmosphere is very friendly, welcoming and inclusive and is not crazy competitive. It's obvious that most of kids are there for fun, but those that want to compete receive plenty of training, support and encouragement. The instructor, Senpai Jeff and the rest of the team are excellent with kids.
The chief instructor Jeff is a supremely dedicated and talented teacher and practitioner of martial arts. Jeff is fantastic with children and a good role model who teaches the importance of disclipine, confidence, respect and the helps students in developing skills for life. The dojo itself is situated in a great location with plenty of parking. The community that has been established around the school is very warm and welcoming and the staff are really friendly. The classes are engaging and rewarding. A great place for children and adults to learn important self defence skills as well as build their confidence and make friends.
