I had been searching for a traditional Okinawan Karate dojo for some time, and I’m so glad I found Goju-Ryu Karate-do at Canberra Traditional Karate Centre in Bonython. Absolutely amazing! The Senseis are phenomenal—deeply rooted in the philosophy of karate and genuinely passionate about their teaching. The dojo has a welcoming and respectful atmosphere, making it the perfect place for people of all ages and experience levels, whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned martial artist. If you're looking for authentic, traditional karate training with outstanding instruction, I can't recommend this dojo highly enough!

This place is one of the best karate centres in all of Canberra, the community and safety here is outstanding to say the least, the instructors are amazing and friendly towards students and teach very well, i cannot recommend this place more! It is an astounding place! The building it's self is safe and beautiful, the areas in the building dedicated for the training are safe and beautiful at the same time! I cannot express my love for this building more, it is truly amazing, the senseis are kind and friendly and are great at training students. If you really want to learn the arts of karate this is the place to go, i have personally made friends with some of the senseis that work there and they are amazing from personal knowledge, they show a equal amount of discipline and reward towards the students which trains them not only in the art of Karate but the art of life it self. When the students do succeed they make the students feel proud and make them embrace there achievement, compared to other places the prices are quite cheap for the amazing learning they provide as well as life skills. I can really not express enough how amazing this Karate centre is! They teach the skills in Karate quickly without hesitation from the instructors, they teach the skills in a way that makes the students learn them quicker and easier, if the student is feeling tired or stressed then the instructor will cater to that and go slightly easier on them. With the skills you learn here you can enter competitions! The emotions you experience here are amazing and the building has an amazing vibe, please come here if you want to learn Karate!
