We’ve had such a wonderful experience with CS Music School. My daughter started in the toddler class at just 3 years old and has since progressed into the bridging class. We did try one term of private lessons, but found she really enjoys the group environment more. We also felt she would benefit from building a stronger foundation first, so we chose to continue with the bridging class for another year. It’s been great for her development—she practices at home and uses the weekly class to share her progress with her teacher. One of the highlights for us is the concert opportunities. They provide such a valuable platform for students to showcase what they’ve been working on throughout the semester, and it’s amazing to see how much their confidence grows performing in front of a crowd. We especially love Natalie’s passion and genuine care for the young learners. She goes above and beyond—rewarding the kids with treats and stickers after each lesson, and always providing helpful verbal feedback to parents so we can keep track of progress. You can truly tell she loves what she does and is exceptional at it. She is definitely the kind of teacher you hope for when looking for a music school for little ones, although we were a little disappointed she doesn’t offer private lessons. During our private lesson experience, we also really appreciated Brendan’s support. He was very accommodating with scheduling and allowed us to try different teachers to find the best fit for our child. We did feel a bit bad changing teachers, but Brendan was always understanding and did his best to support our needs. One small area for improvement would be communication between teachers, especially during the transition from bridging to private lessons. A written report or verbal handover would really help ensure the next teacher understands each child’s level and helps young learners feel more ease and settled. Overall, we truly believe CS Music School is one of the best music schools in the western suburbs, and we look forward to continuing our daughter’s music journey with them.

My both children are a proud students of Caroline Springs School of Music. They both started at a very young age and continued their music journey. Brendan, Natalie and team built a great culture and atmosphere in the music school. The teachers are of high quality and provide great input. When my children were young the teachers not only taught musical instruments but also helped them to bond with music. Brendan is always willing to help, support and guide. Brendan, Mia and the entire team at CS Music are some of the best in the business. I initially looked into drum lessons for my son mid last year, and at the time the music school was in a really convenient location between his daycare near my work and our home. Stopping in on the way home made it an easy option for us. However, by the time everything was finalised and fees were approved, it had moved into the new year. My son had since transitioned from daycare to school closer to home, which made the logistics much more difficult. Getting from my work to his school and then back out to the music school was no longer practical. We did try to make it work for the first two weeks, but it quickly became clear that it just wasn’t sustainable. During that time, there was no communication from the school at all—no one checked in to see how things were going, whether we were attending, or if we needed to change days to make it work better. Although I understand the terms and conditions state that there are no refunds, I explained our change in circumstances to Brendan several times. I had already paid over $500 for one term, and unfortunately there was no flexibility offered. Overall, my experience with Brendan was very disappointing. There was a lack of flexibility with the policy and very little communication, which made the situation feel quite one-sided. It left me feeling like it was more about the money than supporting families or trying to find a workable solution. While I respect that policies are in place, I do believe there should be room for discretion in genuine situations like this. It was disappointing that no consideration or support was given despite the clear change in circumstances.
