My daughter absolutely loves her weekly Gymnastics class in the kinder gym!! We have been going for 2 years now. The Staff are wonderful, I love the flexibility of the program- pay as you go system and no bookings needed! Thanks guys

A fantastic centre with a vibe which drives the new and thriving gymnasts. The centre is well equipped to cater for all levels. My 2 star is because of a coach at the center. I prefer not to name her in the post. My child was progressing over the year and half that she was at the center. But it would be a constant battle with the coach who probably did not have the required skill set of being a gymnastics teacher but was the relative of someone high up in the management. Unfortunately, the management knew and supported this too. I write this because i sat twice with the supervisor at the centre and she did agree to speak to the coach. The behaviour of the coach towards my child changed for one week and then it was back to normal. She would pick on my child, and mention to me that my child would only talk to another junior coach and ask questions and not her and this is partiality. While this coach would stand at the side and tell the kids from the distant what they needed to do. I so wish my child would have not had this experience as my child stopped doing gymnastics after this experience. Dear Castle Hill Gymnastics centre management, please feel free to call me if you have aby questions or need further information.

I would highly not recommend bringing your child to ‘kindergym’ at this centre if you are looking for a safe place for your little one to explore and just have fun. I was told that my boy (who is just shy of 2 years old) was not following the program or the structure correctly and that he would influence other children to do the wrong thing. The manager Vanessa, who approached me, suggested I should bring him to a more age appropriate time slot. I’m sorry but not all parents with newborns and a toddler can make it out of the house for the earlier sessions. Hence why we joined the 11:15 class which is mixed age. She made us feel embarrassed, judged and not welcome to just be himself. He did no wrong and hurt no body, but because he didn’t want to join in the singing circle, I was pulled aside and told he needs to follow instruction better. Not all children are the same. Children should be treated like children. Not soldiers. It was a real turn off and disappointing, as the coaches were easy going but their boss was far from it. I will certainly not be returning and will be sure to spread the word to like minded mothers.

My daughter has done 4 terms here. Each term there is an assessment process to see if kids can move up to the next class. She progressed easily in Terms 1 and 2, but in Term 3 despite scoring 72/78 she wasn’t allowed to move up because some routines needed work. Fine, I accepted that. But in Term 4, after improving in those areas, she scored 70/78 and somehow did worse than before. When I questioned them, the coordinator acknowledged that my daughter improved in the areas identified in term 3, however she didn't score well enough in other areas to progress. I questioned how a child could go backwards after putting in the work, I was told different coaches mark differently so results “can vary.” Also understandable, however instead of offering a proper re-assessment to clear up the inconsistency, I was basically told the centre “may not be the right place for us.” That response was rude, dismissive and insulting after a year of loyalty, fees, and my daughter averaging a score of 91% in her assessments. The classes themselves are extremely repetitive and boring, the same drills week after week, despite promises to change things up. To top it off, progression results are announced in front of the class, leaving my 8 year old in tears. Completely unnecessary and embarrassing for kids - surely there's a better way to do this. Overall, if you want your child to simply burn energy for an hour on the weekend and don’t mind repetitive classes or inconsistent assessments, this centre might work for you. But if you’re looking for an environment that builds confidence and keeps kids engaged, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The gymnastics center's entrance has strange speed breakers that make driving uncomfortable, even at just 10 km/hr. There are many blind spots, making it difficult to watch out for pedestrians. The gymnastics center's parking is poorly designed with no clear instructions, and sometimes there's no space to get to your car without taking a long walk. The center lacks a proper viewing area for parents to monitor their child's progress. Staff often request parents to leave and return 15 minutes after classes start, making it hard to stay for a quick look. Compared to SGAC, the facilities here are lacking. Parents have no visibility on their child's progress, and the reception area is too cramped for a gymnastics center.
