Chermside Aquatic Centre & Water Park

Great Water Park! Visited during busy school holiday period. Pre booked tickets $60 for 2 x adults and 1 x kid much cheaper than a theme park. We were greeted and processed quickly to enter. Toilets were plentiful and clean. Lockers were inexpensive and easy to use. Pools were clean- water slides were fun and the lifeguards were on the ball. Plenty of shaded seating. The cafe processed a large number of people quickly and politely. The food and drinks were well priced, good quality and tasty. Thanks for a nice day- my child had a ball 😊

We had a great time, and the kids really enjoyed the birthday party! 🎉 However, the customer service could be improved a little—especially with the food delivery for birthday orders. Suggestion: It might help to use a physical receipt system where: The delivery staff hands over the printed receipt with the food. The customer signs the bottom to confirm everything is correct. The staff keeps the signed copy for records. ✅ Benefit: This is simple to set up and works well if a digital system isn’t available yet.

Not great for little ones under 4. Lagoon is part of the water slides (when sides are open) so you have to pay the full $22 adult price if we wanted to splash with our 18month old. Was told we can use the lap pool or wait until 5 when the slides closed which wasn’t the case when we visited early December(unsure if slides were open). Better pools around with better accessible conditions for people not wanting the slides.

Management is absolutely useless. Paid almost $400 for half an area, flies on food that kids never ate and my daughter never got the present promised. I put in a complaint in Dec 2025. It is now Feb 2026. I left several emails and had to actually keep calling them to make sure they would look at my emails. As soon as I asked for half my money returned they never responded. I had my daughters 4th Birthday here to only be given half an area with no warning! If I had of known I would’ve cancelled my booking and went else where. First stressful, unfortunate event this day. But never mind we made do with what we got. Secondly they brought our food out 30mins earlier than the asked time, kids were not ready to eat. I went back up to the canteen to see if they could at least hold the food until they were ready (they had no where to hold it) so I asked if they could cover it. They put tinfoil over the food but it still didn’t stop the flies from attacking the food. Disgusted I threw the food out and kids just had adults finger foods we brought in. Lastly, my daughter didn’t get the “present” promised in the booking either. I tried giving them benefit of doubt because at the end of the day I am a worker too, they were busy this day but after waiting this long has made me realise they do not care when it comes to refunds. Be careful when booking with them. Some may have good experiences some may not. It’s the lack of accountability for me. Management do better.

WHERE IS THE VALUE FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG KIDS??? Chermside pool has a terrible pricing structure where the kids pool is lumped in the with water park ticket - Adult $22, young child $9.50. $2 swims only gets you into the lap pool, where a single lane has been made available for non-lap swimmers an absolute joke. There needs to be another option for families just using the kid pool and not the slides. Newmarket pool is 12 mins away and gives you access to both kids pools, splash park, playground and lap pool all for $2 during summer! Don’t waste your money unless you’ve got older kids who are going to get value out of the big slides at Chermside.
