Great theatre. Built and fit for purpose with a great location. Great for orchestras with a decent bar and multiple levels for viewing/hearing. Surrounded by great restaurants if you want a nice meal prior or afterwards. Recommend.

A lovely venue, warm and elegant looking, but unfussy. The bronzes, here and there, on the landings, are special. Limited range of light cold meals, great range of drinks, delicious ice-cream tiny tubs. Oddly, minimal access to tea and coffee, and no hot chocolate. Remarkable range of performances, and no seats feel too far from the stage. Pretty good accessibility, and convenient for public transport. I've seen choral, recital and concert performances here, as well as a talk on Roman history. All were top tier performances.

The acoustics was wonderful. I took my daughter to hear Mary Beard speak. She was a wonderful historian who spoke with in depth knowledge and a touch of humour. The event itself was very well organised

This is a really great space and quite intimate. We were there for the ABC program ‘The Piano’ and it was ideal for that. I don’t think that there would be any bad seats no matter where you sat. The piano playing and other instruments sounded so clean and clear. Definitely go again for another performance.

Very convenient location so close to Wynyard. There are bars on several levels to buy wines which are poured into 'glasses' which you can take inside the concert hall.
