5.0Had a ton of fun at the absolute beginners hip hop session last week - it was only five of us and the instructor so we each got help with the bits we found difficult (for me it was the stretching at the start 😭). Super interesting to also hear about why you do different moves/styles a rather than just following some choreography. If I was in Sydney more often I’d definitely come back!
5.0My husband and I had our wedding dance lessons with Jaye and Imogen and it was honestly the BEST experience. When we look back on our wedding planning and the wedding day itself, we both agree that our first dance and the lessons themselves were the highlight. We both came to Crossover with zero dance experience and Jaye and Imo were so patient with us. They created a perfect dance for our chosen song and when we couldn't get a move, they were more than happy to change up the move for us to ensure we were comfortable and confident. We had so many laughs and it really took some stress out of wedding planning. We also transitioned our traditional song into an afrobeats song and had lessons with Tony who was equally amazing. He was also super patient with our very limited skills! Overall I would highly recommend Crossover and these three talented teachers.
5.0I have been involved in dance throughout my life and been to various dance studios but always felt like I was missing something. When I started coming to Crossover Dance Studio around 2 years ago, I finally found what I was looking for. There are so many unique styles that are taught here by really talented and supportive teachers. The community of people that attend this studio are also really friendly and encouraging. I have made a lot of good friends here who have helped me to grow as a performer. The studio also hosts a number of awesome dance events throughout the year when possible, which makes the experience even more fulfilling. I am so grateful to Jaye, my dance teachers and this community for the experiences I have had so far and hope to continue to learn at this studio for years to come.
3.0I have been here for more than a year. It was good at the beginning. But in 2024, there have been too many people in the class. One of the instructors didn't show up once. The absolute beginner classes are not really for absolute beginners. I hope they can improve it.
2.0Cramped and poorly ventilated studio that often smells unpleasant and gets uncomfortably crowded during peak evening classes. Facilities are basic and not well maintained. The classes themselves are fine, but it’s difficult to see the instructor or move freely if you’re on the edges of the room, which really takes away from the experience.
