The team strikes the perfect balance across all you could ask for — they are organised in all areas from the class timetable to concert time, Discipline is age-appropriate and respectful, creating a calm, inclusive and positive environment where kids can thrive. The teachers at Dance1 are always approachable and contactable if you ever need to touch base, which makes a huge difference as a parent. Friendly without ever being chaotic, professional in spades, and the after-school care offering is truly the cherry on top. A beautifully run school with a strong community feel and a child-led approach that gets the balance just right.

Luisa and the team at Dance1 helped make my daughter’s 8th birthday magical. Luisa and Alice came to a venue in our neighborhood to lead 20 children in dance games and custom choreography. They were high-energy, organized with a complete schedule of games and challenges, encouragement for a range of children’s dance ability and experience, props, speakers and music, and lots of prizes and themed party favors. The party attendees were engaged and had fun the entire time. Dance1 is also communicative, collaborative and supportive in party planning. Their price for parties is very reasonable. I can’t recommend them more highly for children’s dance parties and events.

Dance1 is more than a dance school, it is our extended family. As well as providing endless sparkles, glitter, fitness, fun and laughs, the staff are outstanding role models for my daughter, the classes are impeccably organised and the end of year concert is exceptional. Importantly, costumes and choreography are age appropriate, with all dancers being treated equal. Dance1 offers a sense of community and instills positive values to all the students, from 3 years of age to 18! Everyone is welcome at Dance1 and once you become part of the Dance1 family you never want to leave ✨

My 3 girls have been dancing with Dance 1 consistently for the last 10 years. I can't rate the staff and school more highly. All 3 girls love their classes and their teachers and the concerts are a highlight for me every year. Every child has a turn in the front line on stage and I see each of my girls in more than 3 dances every concert (usually more because of the number of styles they do). Dance 1 also has a great little community of dancers and parents. Its a great company to learn to dance with!

My girls have been dancing with Dance1 for nearly 10 years (since preschool) and absolutely love it. The school is exceptionally well run, classes are well structured and teaching is of a very high standard. Most importantly the school fosters an environment of inclusivity and instills a positive attitude and confidence in their students regardless of ability. The biggest problem is the girls choosing which classes to do each year as they want to do them all!
