David Smile Dance - Salsa Kizomba Bachata Melbourne Geelong

I had a wonderful experience at my first class at David Smile Dance in Geelong! I was warmly welcomed by Christy, who is both lovely and highly professional. The teachers, David and Christy are excellent, and I’m so excited to have learned the basics of Kizomba. I was nervous at first; I didn't know anything about Kizomba but David taught me the basics step by step in such an encouraging way. I had a fantastic night and I’m already looking forward to my next class!

This was my first time attending any sort of bachata or kizomba class and I have to say, I’m so grateful my introduction to it was through David Smile Dance. The introductory class was held at the elwood beach pier which in and of itself is a gorgeous setting. David started the class with a really fun warmup set to some great music. The class itself was so much fun and David made it really easy to follow along and learn all the steps as the class was in a line dancing format. I feel like I learnt so much for just an introductory class. It’s definitely inspired me to try more kizomba and bachata classes in the near future.

It’s the best place to be after a busy day in the office. Time flies when you are having such a fun and nice time learning a new dance style. Definitely out of your comfort zone but in safe and kind hands. Driving back home with a smile on my face! Great experience, hope to come back soon.

I have been dancing Salsa and Kizomba with David Smile and Christy for over 1 year now, and I am super impressed with the excellent qualities they have as teachers and also as lovely human beings. Their group classes are fun, welcoming and exciting, I have learnt lots in a friendly environment surrounded by like minded people. I have also been taking some private lessons to improve my salsa skills, and it has been amazing to see how much can be learnt in such short amount of time. Private lessons and definitely worth it and great value if you want more personalised and accelerated learning. I feel like I have found my happy dance place with David and Christy!

I've been incredibly impressed with the extremely welcoming and inclusive environment that David and Christy provide. Having participated in both their group and private class settings as a beginner, I've been especially impressed with their ability to cater to the individualised needs of their students within both settings. I highly recommend their services to anyone who's keen to learn the dance styles that they teach.
