I have been at Elxir just over a year now and it is such a lovely environment. The reception team are always very welcoming. The Pilates classes are my favourite here. I love the structure and how to instructors help you improve which I feel I do every class. The facilities are great for doing your own workouts too. One of the only gyms in the area with a pool too which is a great perk.

Elixir has completely changed the gym culture in Bondi. Unlike many gyms in the area, it doesn’t capitalise on toxic diet or exercise culture — instead, it genuinely prioritises inclusivity, strength, and sustainable growth. I work in a high-stress environment, and the moment I walk into Elixir I feel an immediate sense of calm and comfort. The trainers are exceptional: respectful, encouraging, and deeply focused on helping you listen to and trust your body. I can’t thank Elixir and their beautiful staff enough for creating the best third space I could ask for.

I joined Elixr as an act of self care. I'm a burnt out mother but I needed to start putting my health first. Joining was such a fantastic decision!! I thoroughly enjoy Aqua aerobics, Restoration and breath work. Being a practicing yogini, having a gym that offers these modalities is super special!!!! Overall the gym is good, but there are a couple of areas that could really be improved. The billing system feels quite strict. If a direct debit fails - even for a very small amount - an $11 fee is applied straight away. Even when the payment is resolved the same day, it's still treated as overdue. It would be great to see a bit more flexibility here, especially for minor shortfalls. Also, the pool booking system doesn't always seem to be well managed. At times it feels overcrowded, with multiple people sharing the same lane, which makes it difficult to swim comfortably despite having booked a spot in advance. I think with some improvements in these areas, the overall experience would be much better.

The gym itself is dark and dingy with rusty machines and not even a stair master. The Pilates classes are for older people or people that struggle with mobility and are so bad in comparison to other places. The showers don’t lock and have weird frosted glass where you can still see eachother. Depending on the time of day you also have screaming kids around because of the pool.
