Extraordinary Kids

My girls loved Wednesdays with Extraordinary Kids. Bec and Jon are both highly experienced professional singers who make every class fun and engaging for all age levels. The atmosphere is playful where children are encouraged to laugh, be themselves and discover their unique talents. I’d highly recommend Extraordinary Kids to anyone interested in a singing/acting/dancing class for their child.

Great program and great value for money with each 2 hr session having separate classes of singing, dancing and acting (divided by age group), that our daughter has attended for a number of years. Also every term they put on a themed show at the end of some of the things that are covered that is great for kid's confidence and allows us as parents to find out what they've learnt (~30 minutes, and no extra cost). Jon & Rebecca who run EK are fantastic, being both experienced professionals (but also importantly parents as well)! Great!

My children thrived in this environment. Jon and Bec were very supportive, encouraging kids of all abilities and the kids had such a fun time. Their classes are inclusive and offer a variety of activities from acting, to singing and dance! Give it a go :)

With 4 kids aged between 6yo and 12yo, we have tried out the gamut of extra-curricular activities, and EK stands out as the highlight of our week. Rebecca and Jon are not only extremely talented performers, but are also wonderful teachers. The classes are professionally run, cover a broad range of genres and performance skills (singing, drama and dance), are engaging, heaps of fun, and great value for money. The environment is encouraging, nurturing and supportive and caters to everyone (both boys and girls), from budding stars to those just wanting to explore something new. The end of term concerts are absolutely gorgeous - a demonstration of what the kids have been learning in class - and never fail to bring a tear to my eye (and no dreaded rehearsals outside class time, or costumes to make, or tickets to buy!). Highly recommend.

My two daughters 6 years and 9 years love to sing, dance and act and this program offers all three over 2 hours on one afternoon. Yay - less driving and less activities through the week! The teachers are professional performers and terrific with keeping large groups of children focussed and engaged. Since the girls have been attending these classes I've noticed a big improvement in their singing and they get a great mix of repertoire and styles from the latest musical theatre shows or hit movies to pop music. I'm so pleased they are learning singing from a professional opera singer as I can hear they are learning how to use a good vocal technique. We drive home singing all the songs they have learnt - I love the song choices too. They absolutely love the drama sessions too, often saying how much fun the games and scripts are and how funny the teacher is. They are also learning heaps from the dance sessions and starting to look a lot more coordinated on the dance floor - the 9 year old even won a prize for best dance moves at the school disco last year. I find the choreography is age appropriate and the boys in the classes also seem to really enjoy the dance sessions. There's a no pressure performance at the end of each term and you can see every kid is loving performing for their parents and how proud all the parents are at seeing their kids up on stage performing and having fun. We've always has lots of concerts at home but they are much better now that they've been going to EK.
