Ferny Grove Arts Academy

My daughter has been learning piano with James for the past year. He has a great way of teaching that is fun and interactive. I can see how learning music has benefited by daughter in so many ways. A very convenient location for us and we are so grateful to have stumbled across this hidden gem!

James has a real passion for music and teaching. My child started lessons in prep and has some focus issues, but James has worked wonders and my child is so enthusiastic about heading to his music, not only that but his music capability has grown exponentially. Thank you James and co, we look forward to our weekly session.

We love Ferny Grove Arts Academy. Not only has my daughter learnt to play ukulele - but James has really helped to build her confidence in general! Such a great place - today James met us outside the studio playing the ukulele to welcome us!

James here is an amazing piano teacher. He’s very patient when I mess up or don’t understand something straight up, and will explain it in a way that’s easy to understand. Also very encouraging at all times. When I have little confidence in my ability to do a particular thing he’s always saying I can do it, he believes in me, and shows me I can. My son has had a trial lesson and can’t wait to learn piano with James next term

James has such an enthusiastic approach to teaching his students. He uses his understanding of how people learn to help motivate and inspire, and tailors his lessons to the interests of each individual. Highly recommend his studio to anyone who wants a fun, accessible music learning experience.
