Forte School of Music

My son has been taking piano and drum lessons here and we are very happy with our experience. The teachers are wonderful, patient, and very supportive. The front desk staff are always friendly and helpful whenever we need assistance. It’s a great environment for kids to learn and enjoy music. We highly recommend this music school!

I recommend Forte Music Canning Vale to people of all ages! They have a great choice of classes, lots of group options for all ages as well as private lessons. The teachers are very patient and knowledgeable. The admin staff are amazing, always there to help in any way they can. Highly recommend!

A good place for kids to learn; some of the teachers have a real knack for teaching and you can see their genuine interest in getting the kids up to speed.

Terrible school. They have a predatory pricing structure where you pay for one term at a time, which doesn't sound so bad except you can't get a refund for an individual class, only a class credit for next term. Going on holiday? Want to learn over the holidays? Child is sick? Too bad, gotta pay. In addition, they advocate "early bird deals" which are literally just an excuse to rise their rates, and they charge 40 dollars for half an hour of terrible teaching where some idiot who can barely read sheet music sits there, downs several energy drinks, and does absolutely nothing to help you learn. No work beyond the stuff you get from the core syllabus books for your respective instruments, and even those only go up to grade 5, are ten years out of date, and have scribbles all over... guess all their money went into paying administrators and "first impression directors". Oh and also they routinely photocopy books that say "DO NOT PHOTOCOPY" all over them. Which is a crime. A pretty severe crime, given their turnover. Caveat emptor!

The teachers and the vibe is really good. However, the school management is terrible. Especially the office manager, she wants to kick out my kids from the last forte lounge in term 4 because my kids participate everytime so that the last forte lounge is not suitable for them to join due to over amount of student registered. However, the forte lounge is like "first in first serve", we registered for it in August 2024. And the way she talked to me was really rude, it seemed like I am subordinate of her.
