My daughter loves dancing at Generation Dance. She improved so much and her love to dance grew. It is a very welcoming and friendly studio. Now that summer holidays start I have a sad child that can’t wait to start again next year.
My daughter has been learning dancing with GD for nearly 3 years, to be honest I have never expected her to be able to achieve so much during the time she joined, her improvement is viable and impressive! I have to also mention that in GD, not only the teachers are professional and supportive, parents are also so helpful and caring, it is a really good community to nurture our children and help them to realise their potentials.
Would very highly recommend. My daughter has been dancing from 4-7 years of age thus far. It is evident a lot of professional expertise and effort goes into facilitating the potential and technical learning of the students, whilst also engaging them in all the fun, excitement and enjoyment that dance offers. The development and progress of the children in such a short time-frame is consistently impressive, and the output evident in the choreographed routines is amazing. Of particular note is the culture of the organisation where staff and incredibly devoted parent volunteers, and of course Miss Jodie, can be witnessed every week striving to make each child feel equally valued and special across all the classes and ages.
Instructors are excellent, very hard working, putting 150% of their effort into raising / producing quality dancers. The instructors are very good in getting everything done / organised and focusing in on technique. It is also very refreshing that they are very positive and friendly. I'm really pleased with this dance studio, with both the EEP and recreation streams. I feel they have the best interest for their students, pushing them to excel, and having fun at the same time!
We found that the studio may not be the best fit for children with body image concerns or those on the autism spectrum. The majority of resources appear to be dedicated to competitive dance, which can limit opportunities for students seeking recreational classes. Our experience was that there was little flexibility for children who did not wish to participate in competitions, and my daughter felt excluded as a result. Communication with the administrative staff was challenging, as they seemed inflexible and were not able to accommodate our needs. Additionally, we experienced issues with billing that resulted in overcharging. If you're seeking a supportive environment for recreational dance, you may wish to explore other options.
