Glamour Puss Studios Tap Dancing Academy St Kilda

I’ve been attending Glamour Puss Tap Dancing Studio in St Kilda since August 2025 with Miss Gemma and her amazing team. I used to tap as a kid, so finding a school nearby was really exciting. I first visited back in 2024 when they were at their old studio, but since early 2025 they’ve moved to their new spot on St Kilda Road. I usually walk from home, but it’s easy to get to with trams running along St Kilda Road and a stop just a short walk away. The door can be easy to miss, so keep an eye out for the Glamour Puss icon. Classes are held upstairs, and you can check in via the iPad as you arrive. First classes are often free trials, so you can head straight in and get a feel for the space. There’s also a small sitting area and a clean toilet beside the dance floor, which is really handy. The studio is currently being renovated, so while some things are still temporary, the space already feels bright and welcoming. Though I’m excited to see the finished result. I take the Thursday night intermediate class, but they cater to all skill levels, including beginner friendly and even seated tap classes. Miss Gemma is a fantastic teacher, and she often brings in other dancers with impressive professional backgrounds to run classes too. The space feels super comfortable for trying something new, and both the staff and fellow tappers are incredibly welcoming. My class has people of all ages, proving there’s really no limit to who can learn to tap. I’ve absolutely loved learning here. The studio even hosts concerts and performances throughout the year, which brings the community together and is so much fun to be part of. If you’ve ever thought about giving tap dancing a try, Glamour Puss is the place to do it. It’s a warm, inclusive environment with amazing teachers, and it’s been such a joy to be part of the community. Highly recommend!

Lovely studio and great teaching staff! Great work out, so much fun and a lovely group of ladies in the my class. Very affordable and great location also. Can't wait till the next one. Age and ability are not an issue so come join us!

BEST dance studio ever! Stress-free, fun-filled Glamour-Tap which makes for endless 'super fun happy times'! The absolute BEST place for beginners who have never danced (but will now likely never stop!) Also for seasoned professionals or 'tapped as a child' tappers who'd like to swap strict classes for riotous fun and sequins while learning gloriously entertaining routines'. LOVE!

I've been dancing at this school for the last five years, and I can honestly say it is the most fun I've had in my 30 odd years of dancing. Great environment, great people, great laughs and great tapping!

Really lovely experience for beginners tap dancing. I've been going for a couple of months now and I really dig the atmosphere.
