Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC)

I recently visited GESAC and it was a really positive experience. The centre is modern, well-maintained, and offers a wide range of facilities that make it easy to enjoy a full day of activity. The pool areas are clean and spacious, with plenty of lanes for serious swimming as well as areas for casual fun. The water felt fresh and well cared for, and the temperature was perfect. There are also fun areas for kids and families, so it caters to everyone. The gym and sports facilities are impressive as well. The equipment is modern and in good condition, and there is plenty of space to work out without feeling crowded. Classes and programs are available for all skill levels, which makes it welcoming whether you are new to fitness or more experienced. Staff were friendly, approachable, and helpful. They made it easy to navigate the centre and answer any questions about facilities or programs. Everything felt safe, organised, and professional. Overall, GESAC is a great place to go for swimming, sports, or fitness. The facilities are excellent, the environment is clean and inviting, and the staff make the experience smooth. I would definitely go back whenever I want a place to exercise or relax in a well-run facility.

Very fun, and a good place to swim! All the varieties of swimming, all the places make it a beautiful visit. Kids area, swim school, your own track to swim on, and a pleasant place to relax. Its great, but it can get very crowded, and especially in the waterslides. I might have waited 10 minutes just for a ride, but the GESAC team is trying their best to keep a smile on everybody's faces, and i understand that. I totally reccomend this place, and if you want to have some time with family and freinds to enjoy!

The swimming pool is spacious, clean, and very well maintained, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a swim. The water quality is excellent, and the surrounding area feels safe and comfortable. There are plenty of seating areas to rest, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The only small downside is that it can get a little crowded during peak times, which makes it less relaxing. Overall, it’s a fantastic pool to spend time at and definitely worth visiting. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good facilities however the management should enforce more rules around etiquette for use of the facilities such as patrons not leaving their disgusting rubbish around the communal areas as per photos. Sadly humans cannot be left to their own devices and need constant reminders about basic manners. Very sad to see such disrespect toward the beautiful facility but the management need to adopt a zero tolerance on this sort of behaviour. Also could answer phones more often or have pool and slide info contemporaneous on their website as in, what times water slides are open etc. Thanks

Very disappointed with this swim school’s promotion system and overall management. My daughter has been stuck in Level 2 for over 7 months. During this time, we were repeatedly told “she’ll move up next week” or “the assessment will be arranged next time,” but nothing ever happened. At first, I believed building a strong foundation was important, so I patiently waited. But over time, my daughter came to every lesson excited and hopeful that she would finally move up, only to be disappointed again and again. Today, they finally admitted the real reason: there has been no certified teacher available to conduct the assessments. So clearly, this is not about my child’s ability, but about internal staffing and management issues — something that was never honestly communicated to parents. Whenever we raised concerns at the front desk, they were unable to provide any immediate solution and could only ask us to send an email instead. Unfortunately, emails also seem to go unanswered. Previously, during the school holidays, the pool was closed but we were still charged fees. We emailed about this issue and never received any reply. When my daughter first started lessons, there were also frequent coach changes, which already affected the consistency of her learning. Meanwhile, classmates who started around the same time were promoted during the Lunar New Year period when we happened to be away, and now they have already been in Level 3 for nearly 3 months while we are still stuck in the same class. There was even one time we missed class because my daughter was sick, and that happened to be the only assessment opportunity — after that, there were again months without an assessment teacher available. I completely understand that every child progresses differently. What I cannot accept is that this appears to be a problem with the swim school’s internal system and management, yet children and parents are the ones left dealing with constant delays and disappointment. Overall, the experience has been extremely poor — lack of transparency, low administrative efficiency, and a very disorganized promotion system. I hope other parents are aware of these issues before enrolling. After we actively pushed for a proper response, we finally received a phone call confirming that they had checked with the coach regarding my daughter’s level and that she will now be moved up next week. I originally considered deleting my review after receiving this update. However, I decided to leave it because I genuinely hope the management can improve through feedback and accountability from parents. There are truly some wonderful coaches here who deserve to be recognised, and I believe more families should feel confident bringing their children here to learn swimming. That’s exactly why internal management and communication issues should not be allowed to affect the overall experience for children, parents, and the hardworking coaches themselves. I hope this feedback helps encourage positive changes moving forward.
