Glow Dance - North Fitzroy - Dance Fitness

I have been to a few different classes here, and I am obsessed with the atmosphere. Groove is my personal favorite, in a world where we usually only care about the body, this class finally invites the soul and mind to the party. It’s the ultimate rhythmic relaxation. Swingtrain and Retro Jams are also fantastic and so much fun! Plus, it’s always such a pleasure to talk to Kate, her warmth really makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming.

I am so happy to have found "Glow" not just because the dancing is so much fun and great exercise, but the community is really welcoming and inclusive. Kate is a wonderful teacher, friendly with a great sense of humour, and she makes sure the dance studio is a place where everyone feels comfortable no matter what their level of experience or skill. Swing Dance is my favourite - it's the only way I can live my dream of being a Broadway dancer so I love it!

Glow Dance is my happy place! The classes are fun, with lots of variety and amazing instructors, open to all levels of dance/fitness experience. The dance studio is beautiful and comfortable. Kate the owner is very welcoming and inclusive. The community is lovely and diverse, which is very important to me.

Groove is one of those classes I keep getting drawn back to time and time again because it’s that perfect mix of being guided with some moves but not so crazy complicated that it keeps me in my brain trying to keep up. It was my first time in the Glow Dance space & it makes me wish I lived in Melbourne so I do Groove every week here!

I highly recommend this place. It's not like a gym where it often smells a bit odd. I've been going to Glow Dance in North Fitzroy since June 2025 and I love it. Kate runs an awesome positive welcoming space and has a number of interesting sessions timetabled throughout the week. I've tried several: Swingtrain, Zumba Latin, Retro Jams and Solid Gold Stretch and keep booking into sessions around my work schedule. The instructors are also vibrant and encouraging. Other participants are lovely and easy to mix with. On-street parking is easy too. Lastly, I found the price for sessions to be very competitive and often buy the multi-class package.
