Been taking my now 9 month old here for a term. Excellent lessons and lovely instructors! Would recommend to anyone/everyone. It’s good to start kids young on water safety, and the NT gov will give you a $100 voucher twice a year to offset the costs!

My 5 year old had a fear of swimming and no interest in learning but the wonderful ladies at Gold fish bowl worked with him for 2 weeks and I have seen a huge improvement! So happy with his progress!

I had a very unpleasant experience with this Goldfish bowl Swim School, particularly in relation to communication and administration. My son has attended three terms at Goldfish swim school in 2025 and has had a wonderful experience with his swim teacher Julie — who is exceptionally patient and skilled with young children — it’s unfortunate that her hard work is being undermined by the shortcomings in their office’s administrative support. Julie is a standout educator, and it's a shame that the level of service provided by the administration staff does not reflect the same standard. There appears to be a consistent issue with communication around schedule changes and closures. For example, scheduled closures on two consecutive Mondays were not communicated to us in advance. The staff claimed that text messages had been sent, but we did not receive any. On one occasion, we arrived at the centre only to find it closed. Most recently, I spoke with Jill, who confirmed another scheduled closure for a staff event and again stated that notifications were sent by text. Last week, I received a phone call from their staff advising of a closure on Monday, 14 July. During that call, I made it clear that I had not received any text messages from their system, and I also followed up with an email that same day. I wanted to reiterate that no text messages were received. To avoid miscommunication, I strongly suggested sending notifications via both text and email going forward. It was disappointing and inconvenient to arrive at the centre only to discover it was closed. These situations could have been easily prevented with more effective and reliable communication. While the swim school allows only one make-up token per term, there seems to be little consideration when closures are initiated by the organisation. This policy feels particularly unfair when families are not properly notified in advance to be given the choice if they choose to continue with classes for that term. Email enquiries related to payments are handled very promptly, but when it comes to addressing customer feedback, responses are often delayed. This inconsistency is unprofessional and highlights an area where significant improvement is needed—particularly within the office administration team. Goldfish bowl Swim School needs to work on improving communication and overall service delivery to better support the families who attend the swim school. If you have other choices - don't take your children here its not worth the headaches and unprofessional service levels recieved. We definitely wont be back next term.
