Learning the martial art of Wing Chun has been an eye-opening experience for me. After just a few months, I feel stronger and more present in mind and body. I’ve also made friends with some of the kindest and most giving people I’ve ever met in any sport or club activity. Thank you to the school for providing such a valuable resource to the community, especially the women’s self-defence classes. Training here is always the highlight of my week.

Incredible experience training here. The introductory lesson was very informative and offered great insight into practical self-defence. While most other places will encourage you to mindlessly bash pads, the instructors here take the time to ensure that you understand the science and mechanics behind the techniques. Highly recommended.

I have been training at the International Wing Chun Academy for just over 3 years. I really enjoy training there. I love that classes are available 7 days a week, at various times during the day and evening, so it’s possible to train whenever is convenient for you. There is certainly a great sense of community at the academy, the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming. The instructors and trainee instructors are highly knowledgeable and encouraging, and always willing answer questions and help you improve. As well as learning the Wing Chun techniques and concepts, I do enjoy the fitness aspect of the class especially with the Wing Chun themed cardio warm down at the end of the class. I can attend a class after a busy day at work and it helps me unwind and takes my mind off the stresses of the day. I would highly recommend the International Wing Chun Academy for anyone wanting to take up a martial art and improve fitness.

I have been training here for about a year, and in that time I have learnt more than I could have ever imagined. I was so nervous for my first class, having never done anything like this before, but they made me feel so welcome it was hard not to come back! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and patient. They teach, challenge and guide you to do your best and learn every lesson. Of course, this is also assisted by your training partners, whom after your first class start to feel like good friends. So, whether your goal is to get fit with solid workouts, feel more empowered as an individual or to develop a greater understanding of Wing Chun, this place is definitely worth a go.

I've really enjoyed seeing my son grow in confidence and skill learning Wing Chun over the past year. I then also joined and I've appreciated the way the instructors love what they're doing and willingness to pass on their knowledge and skill to improve all students. They are really encouraging and supportive no matter the age or skill level. Great instructors mean great students who love to train together. Very happy to recommend this place for learning Wing Chun.
