Just Swimming Glen Waverley

My 11 (now 12) year old son was attending another swimming program and was flailing and became very disinterested as he wasn't progressing, and the teachers didn't seem to be providing him with much feedback to improve. I decided to place him in the Glen Waverley Just Swimming program and it was the best thing we have done! When we attended for the first time, the Coordinator Sophie knew every single child who was swimming by name. She also knew which level they were up to and where they were at with their swimming needs! She was incredibly friendly and welcoming and immediately put my son at ease. We started the swimming program and every single teacher was exceptional (thank you Olivia and KC amongst others). They didn't take their eyes off the children and gave them constructive feedback, which meant that my son progressed through the levels very quickly. The teachers engaged with the children and I could see the rapport that developed which was one of mutual respect, happiness and learning. My son was finally happy to go to swimming lessons. He has now finished the program as a competent swimmer! The app is very user-friendly allowing you to manage lessons, and you are given makeup tokens if you have to cancel for any reason. The receptionists on the other end of the phone are always incredibly helpful too! I highly recommend Just Swimming Glen Waverley.

My two girls (5 and 3) have attended classes at Just Swimming at Nunawading Aqualink for a year odd. It is a superb swimming school. My children's swimming and confidence in water has improved enormously (even my one, who struggles a bit with some physical tasks). They run regular water safety programs which I very much appreciate and which I believe are well geared to making them safer in all types of water situations The teachers are great and the kids really enjoy lessons. The school has always been very responsive and addressed any concerns I have to my absolute satisfaction. Having spoken to numerous mums, I am convinced, that it is the best swim school in the area.

Management here has a take it or leave policy. When parking close to a kilometre away due to the extreme overbooking by Wesley College it makes swimming lessons much less appealing, especially when it is bucketing down with rain and freezing cold. Sometimes you cannot get parking on the premises and have to park in a side street making it well over a kilometre walk. The various groups booking this place feel it is their right to block pathways providing access to the pool area and even when asked continue to do it. Would definitely advise looking for other venues and would not use this place if not for the great swimming instructors that we have been seeing for so many years before the relocation to here from Syndal.

Small place with good instructors. However, I seriously doubt the hygiene of the pool. My 4.5 year old son used to attend the last session on a weekday. At the end of the session, I saw an instructor drying herself up (read private areas!!!) with a towel and washing the same towel in the pool water. When I complained about this to the attending staff at the counter, I was sent away with a small 'We will talk to her right away'. I stayed for another 10 minutes and saw the instructor leave without being questioned.

Took children in for assessment. Asked reception for fees schedule handed a leaflet and staff said it didn't have fees in it and i queried the hours as it showed it was only open a few afternoons a week was told the hours have changed. Why give me this useless out of date leaflet. Assessment over and children came back from bathroom unshowered ( no family changeroom) staff then informed me showers were in another building. Staff need to attend communication course. Facility basic and less than adequate bathing facilities yet charging at the upper end.
