Came here two nights in a row to cool off in the end of Spring heat. Stunning views. Whole family loved it. From Inner West it was only 18min to get here, quicker than heading to any of the Eastern beaches. Parking was available both times (first night 8.15pm, second night 7pm). Free to enter and swim 24/7 in the saltwater pool with a freshwater shower to rinse off afterwards. Highly recommend and now one of our go-to swim spots.

Maccallum Pool, on the western side of Cremorne Point, is a unique harbourside pool with heritage character and superb views. Its waterside timber deck is an unparalleled sun bathing spot - especially on winter afternoons. There was a few people enjoying the sun on a winter day, the views of the harbour Bridge and Opera house add to experience 😀 I saw 2 large havy ships 🚢 go past! The pool is closed for maintenance. Maccallum Pool, Cremorne Point: A Heritage Gem ​Nestled on the western edge of Cremorne Point, Maccallum Pool is one of Sydney’s most enchanting and historic "hidden gems." Unlike the grander ocean baths like Bondi Icebergs, Maccallum offers a more intimate, "faded grandeur" experience with some of the best unobstructed views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. ​The Atmosphere ​The pool feels like a private oasis from a bygone era. Enclosed by a rustic green picket fence and a narrow timber boardwalk, it sits just above the high-water mark. The water is pumped directly from the harbour, giving you a refreshing, salty dip while watching ferries and sailboats glide past just meters away. ​What to Expect ​The Views: Absolutely world-class. It is a "Photographer’s Paradise," especially during the "golden hours" of sunrise and sunset. ​The Swim: At 33 meters long, it’s great for a casual dip or a relaxed "lazy crawl," though it can feel a bit narrow for serious lap swimming if more than a few people are in the water. ​The Deck: The sun-drenched wooden decking is the perfect spot to lay out a towel and soak up the views, particularly on quiet weekday afternoons. ​Key Logistics ​Cost: Free entry. ​Facilities: Very minimal. There is an open-air shower on-site, but there are no changing rooms or toilets at the pool itself (the nearest public toilets are about a 300m walk away in Cremorne Reserve). ​Access: It is located along the scenic Cremorne Point Walk. You can reach it via a short walk from the Cremorne Point Ferry Wharf. ​Cleaning: The pool is emptied and cleaned once a week by the North Sydney Council. It’s a good idea to check the cleaning schedule on the council website before you visit to ensure it isn’t closed. ​Pro Tip: Visit on a weekday morning or late afternoon to avoid the weekend crowds. If you're coming for a swim, arrive already in your swimmers, as the lack of change rooms can be a bit tricky

Salty, Cool, Refreshing, with incredible views. Its a narrow pool so it does get to feel a bit crowded. People sit along the edges. There’s a freshwater shower that looks directly over the harbour - breathtaking. Parking is very tricky - skinny roads and simply not much parking. Thankfully there are stairs near the playground that lead to the pathway along the water that leads to the pool.
