Melbourne Budo Academy

I attended their open mat for the first time on the weekend and had such a great time. The academy was clean, the mats spacious and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I got to roll with a variety of people from whites belts through to black belts. I'm looking forward to the next open mat and highly recommend the academy. Coaches, Costa and Greg are also awesome

Costa and the team are extremely professional, respectful and amazing teachers. Our son is quite shy and has anxiety, Costa was so supportive as he settled in and now he loves going each week. The classes are really safe and their focus on safety, humility and kindness really shines through. What strikes me as quite unique is that this reflects in the way the older kids are so supportive of the younger ones. It’s a great environment for kids of all genders and ages to learn.

Melbourne Budo is such a lovely school. My 7yo loves his classes with Costa and Greg and the focus on respect and kindness shines through. As parents we were really struck in his first lesson by the older kids who are so sweet with the little kids - helping and encouraging them. If your kid is interested in martial arts I don’t think you will find a nicer school.

Best decision sending our kids there, it’s the only sport they do where they can meaningfully interact with kids of various ages. The classes have built their self confidence amongst a very supportive coaching and peer group.
