Big recommendation to dance here! I was looking for a ballet school during my exchange semester, and from the very beginning I felt so comfy and welcomed. It truly feels like one big family. My teachers, Kalman and Nathalie, give such great corrections and really help you improve and grow. Don’t feel shy to visit no matter your age or level, everyone is welcome here 🫶

Kalman is an exceptional ballet teacher! He is so knowledgeable and creative, I feel like I’m growing and learning in every class. He brings every exercise to life with beautiful artistry and creates such an engaging, inspiring environment to dance in. Highly recommend Melbourne Institute of Dance!

I want to share my observation from my first adult ballet class with Kalman… Kalman is very warm and caring ; he has created a real sense of community that is inclusive, bringing out the dancer in us all. A relaxed environment where everyone feels welcome at any level - highly recommended!

Love Kalman's classes! He is a great teacher and I always feel encouraged and uplifted by them. Kalman is one of the best contemporary dance teachers in Australia. The classes are full of interesting choreography that challenge your spatial awareness and technique without stressing you out. The music choices are beautiful as well. The sessions are just delightful. Dancers attending all the classes across Ballet and Contemporary are kind and friendly. MIoD is a fantastic studio where you feel safe and nurtured by a friendly community.
