Moonbear Kung Fu Academy and Canberra Dragon Dance

As a uni student, I'm always between mountain of assignments and I completely loss track of the things I enjoy doing. I wanted to get back into exercise. Then I stumbled across UC Stars Kung Fu during Market Day and honestly, I wish I found them sooner. It’s so much more than just a workout, the community is incredible. Beyond the martial arts training, I've learnt lion dance, dragon dance and percussion work. There are even opportunities to get out there and perform, which has been a total mind blowing experience for me.😁

My two sons have been doing these classes for several years and love it! They learn Kung Fu and practical self defence which is great for their fitness and confidence. It is a safe and welcoming environment and Sifu Wilson Lo is a great mentor for the students. I highly recommend these classes.

Great club with friendly people. Sifu Wilson is an excellent teacher and I highly recommended this academy for learning Chinese martial arts, dragon and lion dance. Whilst I have only attended the classes at UC, I have met and trained with the students of YHKFA at Bruce and observed them to be excellent young martial artists with an appreciation of all aspects of the arts. I would recommend the Bruce school to parents looking for martial arts instruction for their children.

The team at Canberra Dragon Dance are so amazing! They performed a beautiful lion dance for our wedding which our guests really enjoyed. The lion dancers are very skilled and playful, which my partner and I loved. We are very grateful to Sifu Wilson for ensuring the performance was exactly what we wanted and went smoothly. The team came early and waited patiently as we were running behind, they are so flexible and worked with our schedule which we are very grateful for. Sifu Wilson made the day very special by writing us a beautiful wedding card and gifting two miniature lions in red and gold - the same colours we had chosen for the actual lion dance. This gesture is so incredibly thoughtful. We highly recommend Canberra Dragon Dance as they are extremely talented, professional and wonderful to deal with.
