Norwood Swim School (Swim Plus)

Norwood Swim School is great! The young female instructor in the video is especially lovely – so gentle and patient with the kids. My child feels happy and confident with her. Highly recommend!

My only diss about norwood swim school is cashless. I believe as a society we should always have options ( especially when computers crash) negative star for that. Both my children have come here and learnt how to swim with great confidence and pride. Teachers have always been professional with kind and warmness. I recommend with without any doubts. Small things matter. Keep cash alive

My son has been in the same level for a year and a half with limited progression In other sports and school subjects jes progressing quickly Its more expensive than alot of other places yet hes progressed slower than when went elsewhere Only reason we havent pulled him out is because timeslots we can get to for most places are waitlisted His swim week with school he made faster progression with an instructor handling 6 kids they didnt know than hes made with consitant attendence for a year and a half with instructors that know him Its been expensive and disappointing

Super slow progressing with FIXED timeframe (6weeks at the time) for assessment no flexibility and individualised. Each time when asked “oh not time yet…” dragged my son on for long time. When we raised the concern very seriously the assessor picked the fish bone in chicken. Delayed my son 6weeks then 6weeks.. it could be the bad day for assessment or missed then another 6weeks.. It has been difficult for us to quit this school as our kids have been here since they were six months old but the overall teaching quality, ratio and delayed assessment have been very disappointing. Now we removed to different swim school my son has progressed seriously quick with better teacher student ratio and flexible assessment. EDIT- I’m sorry I understand it is your business too but seeing other customer’s concerns here I think being transparent is utterly important to raise awareness unless you changed your assessment in last couple of weeks which I doubt. What you are saying is not the case until we raised it and decided to quit then only you offered “we could assess your kids next week”. Each and every time we got told no we not doing the assessment for yours kids level this week and it is in two weeks/three weeks”.

I was surprised that parents with small children are not allowed to use the Parents' Room as it was apparently reserved for Staff/Swimming Instructors. My kid and I were patiently waiting for our turn when a lady swim instructor skipped the line explaining she needed to be somewhere at 3pm. After using it, she told me that another staff member was going to use it and the room was for staff use only. I had not been aware of this policy and it would be helpful if you label the room for Staff Use Only instead of Parents' Room.
