Sensei Gio is amazing with the students. I have observed him earn their respect as well as build a rapport with them and help them reach potential. He is disciplined, fun (yet firm!) and ensures the students learn to the best of their ability whilst enjoying this valuable sport. Highly recommend

Oakleigh karate schools led by sensei Gio is the best in the town. My older daughter was a bit low in self confidence when I first took her and now she’s a lot better. Improved in every aspect which I wanted her to be and I can see the results in her school performance as well. She is more confident now, speaks well in a group and is more focused. The best thing about Sensei Gio is very calm and understands every kid’s strength and weakness and helps them to be the best. I have been taking my daughter here for more than a year and have seen kids keep coming more and more in number, which tells how good a teacher he is. Can’t wait to get my second one to get started. Our Family loves Karate thanks to Oakleigh Karate School, Sensei Giovanni and the fabulous team! Our shy son (5YO) had given most of the young sports programs a shot (Ready Steady Go, Aus Kick etc.) and struggled to find his groove. After only one trial session he was hooked and has grown considerably in confidence around larger groups of his peers and giving new things a go. The challenge of progression has also been amazing to watch, always looking forward to the next Dan (stripe) on his belt!

My son is attending this school for 6 months now. He always looks forward to the class and sometimes wants to attend extra classes in the week. Sensei Gio makes the classes interesting for kids and knows how to motivate kids. Highly recommend. We are glad we found this school. During school holidays sensei encourages kids to attend as many classes they want without charging you extra which shows the culture they promote.

An excellent school especially for those wanting to try karate for the first time. The environment is welcoming and low-pressure. The students are courteous and friendly. The head instructor is professional and one of the best teachers I've ever seen for beginners.
