I started at Origin a couple months ago and my only regret is not joining sooner. I previously trained Muay Thai solidly for 4 years at SRG and trained BJJ for 2.5 years on and off at other gyms, like Partizan Grappling, around Sydney, so it’s great to be somewhere high quality where I can keep learning and sharpening my skills under one roof. The instructors are detail-oriented and have already helped me to level up my game immensely. There’s a wide variety of very friendly training partners of varying levels which makes for an ideal gym: people lower level than you, people at the same level, and people higher than you. It’s a healthy challenge that always keeps me coming back for more. There’s heaps of competitors but also heaps of hobbyists. Whatever your goal you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Perfect for beginners but also perfect for people who are more experienced. The timetable is wonderful. It has a good mix of morning, day, and evening classes, so it’s easy to get a high volume of training in if you’re keen to train hard. It can be tough to make the move to a new gym, but I felt very welcome from my first trial class. In no time at all it’s become a second home for me. The community here has been stellar. Very grateful to MMA fighter Danielle “Drop Bear” Curtis for recommending Origin MMA to me. I’d recommend to anyone and everyone.

Nobby & Phil are great coaches who will look after you and support you on whatever journey you decide (desire to be a champion competitor or simply want to get fit) . They have proven themselves to be fearsome competitors, but their most important qualities lie in their personalities. If you are looking for a high quality Gym with coaches who are going to be around for a long time. Coaches who are interested in you as a person and not just revenue, then look no further. Came for my Trial class this morning. When I first went up the lift and walked into the gym I was amazed by the view of the city, through the background window glass. A brilliant first impression, something very unique for a fight gym There was no damp sweat smell, and it was such a clean and organised environment. Coach Nobby was teaching the kids bjj class as I was walking in, and he showed a great sign of respect for members by acknowledging and greeting me, even though he was busy teaching. Another very good first impression of the gym. I also noticed heaps of space in the gym to do specific drills and bjj, rounds The class taught by him was done great, as well, with specific footwork drills, defense and pad work, referencing many champions fighters, as examples The membership price in this gym is not to overpriced either for the value it offers and, it also gives the option of casual passes and bundle passes Overall, great first experience and I’m keen to visit again next week

Awesome gym for BJJ and kickboxing for kids and adults. Nobby and Phil are excellent coaches who pay attention and pass on all their amazing experience. Parking is easy and the facilities are super clean. Highly recommend
