5.0The Mog Champ sends his regards. Everything you'd hope for an a well-established pub! An Irish pub at that. Had a reunion dinner here upstairs and managed to merge two unreserved tables together which was nice. Ordered their Irish stew which was great! Not something you'd usually have for pub food but it was on the "healthier" end I suppose! Later on, they started having some smaller performances downstairs which made the pub a bit lively and rowdy. Loved the service and atmosphere here. Thanks for the night! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
5.0I’ve been a patron here countless times and it’s about time I left a review. Excellent pub, great service and food, I really can’t fault the place - authentic Irish feel from the decor to the staff. I’ll continue to do my essential shopping here.
5.0Had an amazing time at PJ O’Brien’s Sydney! The atmosphere and vibe of the place are fantastic, and all of the bar staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided great service throughout the night. What really stood out to me, though, were the security guys both inside and outside the venue. They may look intimidating, but they were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve met. They were approachable, professional, and genuinely made everyone feel safe and looked after. The only downside was one female security staff member. I came back looking for my lost reading glasses and simply asked who I could speak to about it, but she seemed annoyed and was quite rude and dismissive. Thankfully, that experience was the exception rather than the rule. Aside from that, everyone else was absolutely lovely. PJ O’Brien’s has earned a spot on my must-visit list whenever I’m in Sydney. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out, good drinks, friendly staff, and an awesome atmosphere.
4.0Lively pub with great selection of meals available on the menu. Decided on a simple fish and chips meal. Fish was fresh and portions generous. Chips were great too, ordered an extra portion to go with sauce dips. More seating upstairs as the ground floor was pretty crowded. Staff were helpful and very attentive. Great place to relax and have a few beers with friends.
1.0Nice pub inside if you’re going for drinks only. Please be mindful if you’re ordering food, especially if it’s close to last call as this is what we were served. Myself and my boyfriend were violently ill after being served raw chicken. Bar staff were so nice about it however, when I confronted the chefs behind the kitchen they seemed to have no idea what salmonella is or the dangers of serving raw food. Sharing so others can be aware and I wouldn’t go back personally. Such a shame because the bar area is nice and does feel like you’re home in Ireland.
