Penny Lane's Music Workshop

We finally attended a Baba Lala session after years of recommendations to try it and I really wish we had started coming soon. Cathy and Penny ran such a wonderful class which my little ones absolutely loved. We have been to so many programs for children and this is probably the best yet! Loved it so much and hope to return soon!

Both of my daughters went to Penny Lane back when it was in East Freo, and loved it. (One ended up in the John Curtin Music GATE program.) So one day walking past their 'new' location in Fremantle, on impulse I popped inside and inquired about drum lessons for a middle-aged man. Cathy and the team were awesome and got me booked in for a few trial sessions with Bodhi. That was 2 months ago, and I just signed up for another 10 weekly lessons. It's a fantastic break from my 'keyboard jockey' day job, and while I'm never going to be a rock god, it's wonderful to pick up a new skill in such a warm and supportive environment. If you are thinking about signing up yourself, or sending a child here, go for it! You won't regret it. Guy.

I can't speak highly enough about this place! My son has been going there for almost a year taking piano lessons. He has made good and quick progress there, thanks to the high standard of the teaching. The team at Penny Lane are dedicated and extremely supportive. The studio itself is a beautiful setting, it really couldn't be any more Freo if it tried! The atmosphere is laid back and just makes you want to have a jamming session on all of the instruments there. I highly recommend this place.

My daughter started beginner piano lessons at Penny Lane’s in Term 3 and is already making great progress – it’s the highlight of our week! I explored several options in the area and felt Penny Lane’s was the best fit for someone just starting out. The lessons are really personalised which has made it such a positive experience. Penny Lane music is a great place learn music and hang out. It has a quirky relaxed family space type vibe, and local engaged kind people. The emphasis is on fun and personal expression.
