Red Drum Music Studios

I love my drum lesson every week! Darren is a fantastic teacher, super knowledgeable about all things music, brilliant drummer and a funny guy. He runs the studio really well and keeps the place neat and tidy.

We love Red Drum Music Studios. We have two boys, one who learns drums, and one who learns acoustic guitar, both with Darren. Darren is a skilled, highly qualified teacher with the experience and expertise to teach students at all levels, from beginner to advanced. The annual concert, where students get to experience playing in a band setting, is a highlight.

Red drum have just been truly wonderful. From the very start when I called to ask about lessons Sarah was incredibly positive, friendly and gave off a wonderful vibe. When I started the lessons themselves, Darren was just great. It’s always nerve wracking to do a new thing but within a few minutes I was at ease. All the other teachers I’ve met have been similarly friendly and I have no hesitation in declaring all of them awesome. When I first bought my kit I assumed that I could learn how to play from the internet, and while I managed a little progress, there’s just no substitute for someone highly skilled showing you the way. If you are looking to learn drums I cannot recommend Red Drum highly enough. It’s been incredible fun so far and I can’t wait to learn more!

Being largely self taught over the last 20 years or so I didn't know how much I didn't know about playing drums until I started taking lessons with Darren at Red Drum a few years ago. Now I know a lot more about playing drums and I practice smarter and can play stuff I didn't know I could play. I still have a long way to go but I confident I will get there now. I have a sometimes erratic work schedule but Darren is always able to accommodate me by shuffling things around so I can continue with my study. A great friendly place to become a better drummer!!

I have been having drum lessons once a week with Tristan for nearly a year. Tristan is a fantastic, inspiring teacher and I really like his approach. Red Drum studios is a great place to learn in an encouraging, positive and professional environment.
