Update: Keep an eye out for their holiday camps. It's lots of fun for the children. My daughters have been going to RGA since toddlers. They are great for recreational Gymnastics. They train elite gymnasts in acrobatics competing at national/international levels!
My children and I love RGA! I’ve taken them to toddler, preschool and now reception age classes and are super impressed. The staff are excellent and achieve a nice balance of fun and learning based in good routines for safety. My son loves it so much he has just celebrated his 5th birthday party there. All the girls and boys had a fantastic time doing a wide variety of gymnastics under the coaches supervision. Highly recommend this for an easy (and stress free!) children’s party - great venue, fun activities for all plus set up and tidy up help from the coaches, perfect!
Fantastic and inclusive club. My daughter who is autistic loves her gymnastics class and she is very safe and well looked after.
I’m sitting watching the class performance as I write this review. The class is suppose to be 1h long. 15 minutes passed and the instructors (3 teenagers) are on WhatsAp doing their business. This is the third year watching exactly the same thing with the same exercises. My daughter was telling me that she wasn’t learning anything new and now I have the confirmation. Time to change for something better. Seriously a waste of time and money.
We used RGA services for more than a year. The level of instruction was always basic but for children younger than 6 it seemed to be ok. The quality of instruction varies a lot and some instructors spend only about 15-20 minutes per session focusing on working directly with children and rely instead on the teenage assistants to run the rest of the session (I observed this on numerous occasions at Grena Road center). Shockingly, an instructor at Grena Road finished the Open Day session 20 min earlier without informing the parents to allow them to plan the pick-up accordingly. Some instructors, also wasted about 10-15 min of the 60 min training session as changing time for children. It was astonishing to see the lack of attention and the low quality of instruction and how much time that was supposed to be used for active training was wasted each session. I requested to speak to a supervisor in order to file a complaint and Lizzie (office manager) confirmed 3 times that she is working on arranging this. However, she never put me in touch with a supervisor and eventually completely ignored my concerns. It is unfortunate there is no way to submit a complaint to the senior management / board of trustees directly.
