Previously enrolled at a different school, the transition to RCA revealed a remarkable difference in quality. Russian Choreographic Academy is the most wonderful ballet school! It is, by far, the very best in Melbourne for the Russian system of ballet training, with expert teachers who truly care about each and every student. My daughter thrived at RCA, and her technique improved immensely during her time there! The classes are small so students receive very careful attention, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly whilst keeping up a very high standard. My daughter now studies overseas at one of the best schools in the world, and we owe so much to RCA for her success there, as well as for her acceptances along the way to many top international summer intensives. RCA is an extremely supportive, professional school for students who are serious about ballet. This training was instrumental for my daughter.

This school is a really professional place to get your mastery of ballet dance. The main focus of the school is ballet. Therefore, they have a strong team of teachers. My daughter enjoys the friendly atmosphere at the school.

I had a similarly distressing experience with this ballet school many years ago - I see nothing has changed. The female owner seemed to me vulgar and rude, and she and another teacher were belittling and unkind in class. The male owner was seen yelling disparagingly at another parent. When I objected to anger in the classroom, my daughter's enrolment was terminated without any consideration for her. Videos of students were being recorded without permission, and I held concerns about male access to the girls' changing room. I would give this school a big miss. It holds lots of promise, but fails to deliver on decency.
