Salisbury Aquatic Centre

amazing place to cool off on a 37° day. Inside and outside pools. indoors was slightly pleasantly warmer than outdoors, lots of shade available. Neat and tidy amenities to change, wash in. Food on site available. a little pricey, but avail. And tasty. Slides for everyone. Super nice fun place.

The Aquatic Centre is an excellent facility with different slides and a waterpark the kids will love. With a separate lap pool inside keeping the outside pool free for with plenty of free play so you don’t feel hemmed in by people. The shaded pool areas are a welcome spot on hot days.

Fantastic setup with indoor heated pools with plenty of room, great changing areas, and the huge outdoor pool and junior kids splash pad / play area...3 big slides for the big kids are good fun as well.... Great facility

The pools and kids’ slide are great, and I have no complaints about them. The staff are also excellent - they are constantly making sure children are safe and within reach of their parents, which is incredibly important, and they do a great job. However, the bathrooms are foul. It’s clear they are not cleaned throughout the day. The floor is completely covered in water, which I understand is expected in a pool area, but there isn’t enough drainage to handle it. You have to wipe water off the toilet seat and stand in a puddle just to use the toilet, hoping that wet, dirty toilet paper doesn’t touch you. On top of that, the bathrooms smell strongly of urine due to a lack of ventilation. The main flooring around the pools is also an issue. Because of the lack of cleaning, there is hair and dirt everywhere, which gives you the “ick” when you have to walk around without shoes. Unfortunately, this is a big issue for me and lets the place down enough that I wouldn’t return.

The indoor spaces are lovely, but by choosing to close tge full length outdoor pool from late April through winter, I found myself relegated to a crowded smaller pool with screaming kids and halfway division. It made the prospect of doing quiet laps impossible, so I don't be going back over the cool seasons. A great pity because the setting is GORGEOUS. It'll be Aquadome Elizabeth in the meantime.
