Samurai Karate Kensington

My son started to train here when he was 4.5yo and 6 months past he can’t love this place more. John sensi is very patient with young kids and my son likes his sense of hum our too. I love seeing his progress not only in karate but also in showing respect to others. Overall dojo has a friendly atmosphere and parents are nice too. Best decision we made to join this dojo!

We started Samurai Karate at Kensington this year and it’s the best thing I’ve done for my son who has recently turned 5. Sensei John is very engaging and the my son really enjoys it. There are three class options which makes it very convenient for us to choose which one to go to depending on each week. Highly recommend and if you are unsure, give the intro offer a go at the very least!

A truly inclusive & supportive environment for kids to learn discipline, respect, and of course karate skills. Our son has been going for almost 4 years now and he has gained confidence, improved motor skills, and has a greater knowledge of age-appropriate self-defence. Sensei John, specifically, is wonderful with the children, the perfect mix of encouraging and focused.

My son has been with Samurai for a number of years and really enjoys it. He looks forward to his Karate sessions and progressing through the belts and ranks. He’s determined to get to black belt. Sensei John is a really positive influence on the kids.

Great extra-curricular activity for the kiddies - learning new skills, discipline & fun. My daughter has just started - has gone through one term absolutely loves it. Sensei John is very passionate teaching the kids, it a joy to see their excitement when they progress and go through grading.
