Shelly's Swim School Yeronga Pool

We’ve absolutely love Shelly’s swim school at Yeronga Park! My 4 year-old is in Level 1 and my 1-year-old attends Bambino’s, and both classes have been amazing for building confidence in the water. Having a pool and a dam at home really reinforces how important swimming lessons are for our family. Seeing my child learn the basic swimming movements and knowing they can at least get themselves to the side of the pool gives me so much peace of mind as a mum. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and make every lesson fun while still focusing on water safety. The whole team is welcoming and supportive, which makes lessons something we genuinely look forward to each week. Highly recommend to any families wanting their kids to feel safe and confident in the water 🤍

We’ve been doing swimming lessons at Shelly’s since my kids were babies, and I couldn’t recommend it more. My eldest has just started school and is already a confident swimmer thanks to the dedication and consistency of the teachers. We regularly receive comments about his strong technique and water confidence, which is a direct result of the excellent lessons here. Over the years we’ve had several different instructors, and every one of them has been caring, patient, and committed. Communication is always clear l, we’re notified ahead of time if a teacher will be away, and the staff genuinely go above and beyond. Julie has comforted my son many times, even when she wasn’t his assigned teacher. Don and Kristie at the front desk are always welcoming and genuinely happy to see us, which makes every visit feel warm and personal. When I recently needed to adjust our lesson times (and fit in swim squad for myself), the team was incredibly helpful and made the change easy. The kids’ club is also fantastic. My children look forward to it every week, and the staff are so kind and attentive. On the rare occasions when the kids didn’t want to stay and we needed to leave after a few minutes, we weren’t charged for the next week, which is fabulous service. I highly recommend Shelly’s to anyone nearby or even those willing to travel a little further. The facilities are great, the staff are wonderful, and it’s hands‑down the best place for kids to build swimming skills and water confidence.

We have been attending swimming lessons with Shelly’s swim school for about two years now. We came over from Langlands pool because the Langlands swimming pool lessons were far too packed For the same amount of money. We have been extremely happy with the lessons and The way the coaches constantly look out for the well-being of the children Thank you so much, Shelley’s swim school and to Yeronga swimming pool complex for giving us such five Star service

My granddaughter swims with Shelly’s in the Babies & Toddler program and I’ve never seen such a loved and loving program. The teachers go above and beyond, the indoor teaching pool is crystal clean and soooo warm. We come early just to have a coffee on the deck and enjoy the break before the lesson. Cannot rate them high enough.

Zero star — if that were an option. We paid for the holiday program on the clear understanding it would be held in the heated pool. When my child attended during the second week, it had been switched to an unheated pool without notice. When we tried to cancel, we were told no reschedule, no cancellation, no refund. The Director then claimed this had been stated in the advertisement — which is not true. He further claimed we had been informed of the term via email — which is simply untrue. Changing a fundamental condition of a paid program and then denying any remedy reflects extremely poor management and a lack of integrity.
