Shobukan Martial Arts Joondalup

Highly recommended My son had a 5 days trial at Shobukan Joondalup and did enjoy attending the karate classes that he decided to keep doing it. The instructors are amazing with proper knowledge and skills in teaching kids martial arts for self discipline and confidence that I’m sure will last to adulthood.

The whole team at Shobukan Joondalup have done wonders for my 4yo. We've noticed a huge improvement in his confidence since he started a few months ago & it's helped him in other areas, like his speech All the instructors are brilliant - their approach is very flexible to supporting your child's needs based on where they are at in that session & their journey. They are compassionate & patient, but will also be structured & directive if it's needed. The overall experience has been exceptional.

My daughter loves coming to karate. The instructors are amazing and encourage everyone to demonstrate good values. Her confidence is growing and she has learned so much in only a few months.

We enrolled our now 8yr old son in the Little Samurai programme at Shobukan Joondalup & couldn’t be happier. He has progressed so much in 2 years and is in the Young Samurai Program now. The instructors are amazing with all the students, they are so patient, encouraging, nurturing & you get fantastically qualified & experienced teachers in every class every time. Lewie was very shy & timid before he started Shobukan and his attention span was very short, but a few weeks in we could see a massive difference. The skill stripe system and earning badges keeps them excited & motivated and the confidence is very visible. Its a family-run business and all classes are very family orientated I would thoroughly recommend Shobukan for any family. Trial a class & see for yourselves.

We have been coming to the Shobukan with our now 7 year old daughter since October 2019. We cannot recommend the Shobukan highly enough. Our first week not only did we learn karate but the importance of being healthy. We’ve gone on to learn so much about respect, pride, determination, setting goals, just to name a few. The physical side of karate has also been so good for her coordination and confidence. If you are thinking of joining the Shobukan family, just do it!
