Shobukan Martial Arts

My son been coming here for the last 3 years and we could clearly see the difference in his confidence. He used to be shy around people and this was just the boost he needed. Laura at the front desk is the real face of the centre. She is an absolutely lovely soul and a joy to interact with as you walk in. The Masters interact with each child based on the areas they need improvement in. They make it a fun learning experience.

My husband and son moved to Shobukan from another dojo this year and haven’t looked back. The teachers (Sensei) are excellent with a heavy emphasis on safety. My son used to be frightened of the fighting (kumite) element but now loves it. My Hubbie took up karate in his late 40’s and now says his fitness and flexibility have never been this good. It helps him sit long hours at his desk job and he sleeps better. The boys love it here! I thoroughly recommend them.

It’s hard to put into words how much my son is enjoying Shobukan Karate! From the very first class, he felt welcomed and supported. The Sensei and Sempai are incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging with the kids. Their dedication and genuine care make such a difference. As a parent, it brings me so much joy to see my son excited for every session. The positive atmosphere and structured learning have helped build his confidence and focus.
